Meghan Hudson is the maker behind h.made studio. She currently lives and works in Athens, Georgia but calls a little Northeast Georgia town in Franklin County home. Meghan's family has instilled in her a love of laughter, good food, stories, and things of the past. When she's not making, Meghan is a mom, wife, teacher, reader, and traveler.
Meghan's work is a reflection of the places, the people, and the experiences that have made her story and home. Whether it's a platter with the flower that bloomed by her aunt’s kitchen window, a vase impressed with a lace pattern belonging to her great grandmother, or serving pieces in accent colors inspired by dishes from family dinners growing up, Meghan's work depicts small, still frames of each of these experiences that have shaped her story. Meghan's process began by creating handmade wall tiles depicting patterns and shapes of places she'd traveled, and it has evolved into a combination of many different processes to create functional and decorative ceramic pieces.
Meghan holds a BFA in Art Education from the University of Georgia (2004) and a MFA in Art Education from Piedmont College (2009). The beautiful timing of many elements allowed her to begin h.made studio in the fall of 2017.
